Gentle walks around the village

Walk to Idrigill

Start at the hairpin on the A855. Take the footpath through the gate or start at the road past the pottery near the pier.

Walk to the waterfall

Start at the stile next to the bridge over the River Rha on the A855. A very short walk, down a very steep staircase down the gorge to a beautiful waterfall.

Walk in the woods

Start at the rising gate near the village store and post office on the A87. Follow the path through the woods and along the shore. At the other end either follow the road directly back to the A87 or cross the footbridge and walk along the playing field by the shore.

Walk to Earlish

Start at the A87 at Cidreach. Follow the marked pathway to Earlish.

Walk to Balnaknock (Sometimes called the Fairy Glen)

On the way out of the village turn off the A87 just past the Uig Hotel. The walk is along a tarmac road through a very pretty glen. If you keep going you get to Ben Edra but this is no longer a gentle walk.
