Uig is an excellent base for a walking holiday, providing a wide variety of walks requiring different levels of fitness.

The area is covered by Ordnance Survey Explorer 408 - Skye Trotternish and The Storr (1:25000) and Ordnance Survey Land ranger 23 - North Skye, Dunvegan and Portree (1:50000).

Details of the routes of some of the suggested walks are to be found in walkers guide books, which, with maps, compasses etc can be bought in the local shops.
